HELP University’s Department of Languages recently organised the English Language Carnival at the Subang 2 campus on March 18, 2017. Over 132 students from the Chinese Independent Secondary Schools (CISS) across Malaysia participated in the event.
Syed Adam Emir Putra is an 18-year-old fencing sports athlete from Kuala Lumpur. He is also a HELP University student studying for his Edexcel A-Levels. He took up fencing since he was nine, having followed in the footsteps of his brother, who was a national fencer, and after watching Star Wars.
Anderson Wong is a 21-year-old water polo athlete from Malacca. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Information Technology degree at HELP University. He began swimming about eight or nine years ago, but when he had gotten no results from swimming, he decided to switch to water polo instead.
Mak Sin Sin, 23 years, is currently pursuing a University of London International Programmes Accounting and Finance degree and has been an active participant in water polo for the past six years.
Tan Fu Jie is a 21-year-old Artistic Gymnastics athlete who is currently studying for his Bachelor of Psychology at HELP Subang 2 campus. He has been participating in his sport for over 14 years and became interested in gymnastics after watching the event being played live during the Olympics.
