Accounting Club
The Accounting Club of Business Department was established in November 1998. All students, majoring in Accounting and/or Finance, are automatically members of the Accounting Club. However, other students who are interested are also welcome to participate in the club.
The Accounting Club was formed in the hope of creating opportunities for students to meet, communicate and share academic experiences. Hence, the Accounting Club is one of the medium for students to foster close relationships amongst themselves. The Accounting Club is also a means to enhance the management skills of its members, by providing them the opportunity to manage and organise activities. The Accounting Club thus had part of its objectives to equip members with communication and personal development skills.
Among the many activities organised by the club are the fun-loving social gatherings held to give students the opportunities to congregate, communicate intelligent ideas, network and partake in useful activities. To increase the participation of Year One students, the club manages the annual dazzling Accounting Games, which involves competitions featuring students from the Department of Economics and Department of Business students.
Besides this, the Accounting Club also features other academic based activities. Members of the club are actively involved in activities organised by professional accounting bodies. Among them are activities organised by CPA Australian (Malaysia Branch), ACCA, MACPA.
