  1. Introduction


Introduction
There are numerous awards at the local and international levels to be presented to the students of the Department who have achieved excellent academic as well as non-academic performances. The awards available for motivating students are as follows.

HELP Institute Awards
HELP scholarships/ Bursaries/ Study Awards
Available for top Diploma students. The scholarships will cover the full tuition fees, the bursaries will cover half of the tuition fees, which the study awards will cover a quarter of the tuition fees. For the academic year 1998/1999, a total of RM 1 million was awarded to deserving students.

Datuk Paduka Dr Hajjah Saleha Outstanding Award
This award is sponsored by the Executive Chairperson of HELP Institute and is presented to the best student in the Institute. Thus, the best student in the Department of Business Studies will have to compete with the best student of other departments of the Institute.


Scholarships and Prizes
CSU Full Scholarship
The scholarship is valued at approximately RM40,000 or A$17,000. This amount comprises:]
  • Full Tuition Fee (for a minimum of 6 subjects - maximum of 8 subjects to be done on-campus)
  • Living allowance of A$200 per week x 40 weeks, and
  • Return airfare to Australia.
CSU Full Tuition
The scholarship is valued at approximately RM15,000 - RM20,000 or A$6300 - A$8,400. The amount covers: - Full Tuition Fee (for a minimum of 6 subjects - maximum of 8 subjects to be done on-campus)

Full Tuition Fee for a minimum of 6 subjects - maximum of 8 subjects to be done at HELP Institute

The University of Queensland International Scholarship
The University of Queensland International Undergraduate Scholarship ('Scholarship') will be awarded, based on academic merit, to outstanding HELP Institute students who have been offered a place in the final year of the University of Queensland Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business (Management) programme. 2 Scholarships will be awarded for the February 2000 Semester*
